A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Lab Infrastructure Technician

Duration: 12 Months with possible Extension
Location: New York, NY

As a Lab Infrastructure Technician, you will work closely with Lab & Network Manager to build, maintain, and support the lab environments essential for testing Peacock across multiple platforms. You will handle day-to-day tasks related to lab hardware setup, including building device racks, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring all lab equipment is ready to support high-quality streaming tests. Your expertise with audio/video (AV) equipment and previous experience in a streaming lab setting will be crucial in enhancing our DAAS capabilities, ensuring smooth lab operations, and enabling high-bandwidth testing.

Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, and maintain device racks with up to 30 test devices per rack, supporting the Peacock app across platforms.
Run, test, and manage network cabling, including fiber optics, to ensure uninterrupted high bandwidth streaming and testing capabilities.
Set up, configure, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including testing TVs and streaming devices, to maintain optimal testing conditions.
Configure and maintain network switches to support Quality Engineers' testing requirements and ensure secure, high-speed connections across labs.
Provide hands-on support to the Quality Engineering teams in using the lab infrastructure effectively, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring uninterrupted access to remote testing tools.
Maintain detailed records of equipment, configurations, and maintenance schedules. Document standard operating procedures for lab setup, network configurations, and AV system management.


Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a streaming testing lab or similar environment, including hardware assembly, network cabling, and device management.
Proficiency in configuring network switches/routers, VPN's, setting up and testing various types of network and AV connections and understanding network security best practices.
Strong background in setting up and managing AV equipment, particularly in a lab environment.
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and AV issues, with a focus on maintaining uninterrupted testing conditions.
Proven ability to work well with technical leads, engineering teams, and external vendors, ensuring alignment on project needs.
Ability to maintain organized records and implement best practices in equipment management and documentation.
Strong attention to detail & cable management skills.
Must be able to lift and moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50-$57/Hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
