Job Description:
Adecco Creative & Marketing is assisting a major luxury fashion
client in their search for a Merchandising Manager! The Merchandise
Manager job is based in NYC and needed on a full-time permanent
basis.

SUMMARY:
- Build effective partnerships with design, production, materials
and product development to insure the right assortment is developed
while achieving margin targets.
- Develop seasonal merchandise assortment plans to insure
development is focused and poised to drive volume.
- Support design vision while insuring line is a well balanced mix
of commercial and fashion product that addresses
opening/core/elevated pricing
- Partner with sales team to anticipate product needs and insure
new styles or groups are developed where appropriate
- Set Retail pricing and insure we properly positioned in the
market, while delivering the best price/value to the consumer
- Keep abreast of competitive environment/trends at all price
points in respective categories and all relative categories. Create
recaps and disseminate as needed.
- Manage projecting and buying
- Analyze selling reports and provide recaps to cross functional
team members
- Develop and refine processes for the betterment of the
merchandising team and accessories division as a whole
- Lead seasonal ownership meeting with international sales teams to
elicit product feedback and insure projections/buys meet demand
- Manage global inventory of perm styles to support replenishment
programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Seasoned Merchandiser with 4-5 years of experience in luxury retail
fashion brands
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
Comfortable with ambiguity and is able to successfully navigate in
such an environment
Proven track record of building successful relationships at all
levels of an organization
Manage direct and indirect reports to achieve their potential
through effective mentoring/coaching
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and comprehensive
understanding of retail math
Excellent product sensibility
Team oriented with ability to multi-task.
Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for
business
Ability to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading a successful cross-functional team
Management and team building experience
Knowledge of the development and production process
Strong presentation skills
